Employee Spotlight – Kris Shiozaki
We are so excited to introduce you to Kris Shiozaki. Kris is our Senior Client and Sales Associate. Kris has been with the company for over 13 years and is a vital asset to our team. We recently sat down with him and asked him a few questions so you could get to know him better.
How old are you? And are you married? – I am 32 years old. I am basically married because I have been dating the same girl since high school but I am making it official in a month.
Where is your favorite place to travel? – I love going to Vegas but I would have to say going back east to Boston and Maine each year is my favorite.
What was the best concert you have ever been to? – I’m not a big concert guy but Mac Miller put on a good show.
Last book you have read? Would you recommend it? – Long Shots and Layups by Mike Snarr. It was a good one.
Who inspires you? – My Mom and Dad. They are pretty awesome.
What’s your favorite movie? – Definitely going to get some crap for this one but I have to say How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days . Matthew McConaughey is my man crush. haha
What was the last thing you watched on Netflix? – Stranger Things 3
Favorite part of your job? – Getting to Interact with our clients daily. I also love that I have been able to develop relationships with them. I am really lucky to work with our amazing clients.
Where is the one place in the world that you would like to visit one day? – Going back to the homeland of Japan is definitely on my bucket list.
What is your favorite family tradition? – Every year between Christmas and New Years we make Japanese food called Mochi. It is an all-day event where my dad’s side of the family come over and we have a good time.
3 Words to describe a typical work week at Paramount? Eventful, stressful, and rewarding.
What was your first job as a kid/teenager? – I had a paper route… paperboy of the month! Google Me!
If you had to eat one type of food for the rest of your life what would it be? – BBQ. I can grill a mean steak.
What is a random or weird habit you have? – When I’m sitting down I shake my leg.
If you could have dinner with 3 people (dead or alive) who would they be? Bryce Heinz (the greatest cyclist of all time), Denzel Washington, and David Ortiz.
Which historical event do you wish you could have witnessed? – I’m not a Hockey fan but Miracle on Ice would have been pretty sweet.
Which animal do you think is the coolest? Dogs are for sure the coolest!
If you could do one other job (outside the industry) for one day what would it be? – It would be a tie between basketball coach or BBQ Pit Master
If you won the lottery tomorrow, what is the first think you would buy? – I’d make sure all immediate families houses/bills were all taken care of. Then I’m headed to Vegas to do some damage.
